Long story short, she has had severe pain on one side for a couple months that comes and goes, CT scan with contrast found a “hidden” kidney stone yesterday. Surgery planned for next Tuesday to remove it. Tonight I took her to ER per nurse practitioner advice. She has an infection and is septic. They will admit her and do surgery either tonight or tomorrow. Please lift her up in your prayers, thank you

Done!

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Lord, we lift up Jody’s wife to you. We thank you that you have given us knowledge of the human body and ways to treat it and Doctors and surgeons that can do many wonderful things but only you Lord are the Great Physician, only you can heal body, soul and spirit.
We ask Father that you put your hand on Jody’s wife and bring healing to her body. We ask that you remove the infection and the kidney stone. You are God and you can bring healing to her miraculously and instantaneously, or through surgery and medication. Either way Lord we give you glory for her healing. We ask that her healing would come quickly and completely, and for the infection never to return.
I asked this in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Wade, I love those verses, they are life verses for me.

Here is an update from my wife - Update from Jennifer- I was septic last night. My body reacted well to the iv antibiotics I received last night and my blood this morning shows that I am not septic any more. They won’t do surgery Inpatient since it’s not an emergency. They do not have the results back from the blood cultures yet which could take 2-3 days. They are keeping me overnight tonight to continue IV antibiotics and wait for culture results. Unless it becomes more emergent, surgery will be done Tues. as outpatient as scheduled. I am having terrible nausea and headache now. They are trying to control that and my pain with meds.

Thanks for the update, Jody.
Praise the Lord to hear she's doing some better.
May He continue to heal to the point of not needing surgery!

Very glad to hear she is no longer septic. Lord in Heaven, please continue to heal Jennifer. Comfort her and ease her pain. Give wisdom to her caregivers and guide the hands of the surgeons. Please forgive us when we fail you. Amen.

Sorry I missed this Jody. Thank the lord that she is doing better. I will pray for her continued recovery. I had a stone once (well actually twice), the most painful thing I ever went through, so I hope she is comfortable and able to not feel the pain as she works through this.

Thanks guys. Another night at the hospital has passed. Depending on how her culture results are today will decide if they do procedure today, or Tuesday as initially planned. Thankfully the infection has not returned as of this morning. Glenn I once had a kidney stone that was soooo bad for 3 weeks, but passed. Hers is just big enough it would just barely enter the urethra tube and cause intense localized pain for her on her side randomly. It has been at least 2 1/2 months since the pain began. The infection came from the tube being blocked. The Lord is in control, and all will be well by this time next week. I have the most wonderful coworkers and managers who have allowed me to flex my schedule as needed, still in my first 60 days.

Lord, thank you that Jennifer is free of the infection now. Thank you that Jody's new boss and co-workers have been so understanding and helpful. Most of all we thank you that You have the situation under control. All the praise and glory goes to you.
We thank you that "All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His service."
Thank you again that you are in control of this situation.
In the Powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
