Any unusual uses for your knives during this Artic Blast?

I have carried a knife when leaving the house, but have not used it for anything!

Soo.. I used my SAK Small Tinker pen blade to cut the shipping tape on the box containing a BUCK Blue Line Spitfire yesterday...

Same here. No pocket knife usage for several days but it's there if I need it. That's pretty much the norm for me though.

Paper towel boxes at the school I work and other boxes that needed to be broke down.

I used mine to open feed sacks and the plastic bag around a security gate I put up in front of our basement stairs.

Oh, and to clean my fingernails, does that count?

Scrape the registration tags of my license plates

I used my A.G. Russell lockback to slice a pork tenderloin and used my Rough Rider copperhead to open the mail, clean my fingernails, and open a small package.

Used my old 72 to cut an apple at work. Opened a couple of boxes with supplies for our office from Office Depot. Poked the air bubble wrap so I could discard it into the trash can. That's about it for today. Always there though when needed!

Opening boxes at work. Opening stapler out of clamshell packing at work. Cutting sausage up, cutting biscuits open. Cutting up 100 small packages to fit in recycle slot at work. Nothing unusual

Used the punch on my GEC 66 to open up a couple of the foil bottle seals on some Iso-Heet for me and my wife's vehicles. Used the clip blade to open up the packaging on a new furnace filter......and then to cut out a wedge of brownie from the pan my daughter made when I got home from work!

Cutting dumb a## kids tongues off of metal poles. Why don't they listen ?

I just used the punch in my SAK Climber to punch a couple of holes in a belt.

Great use of your knives. I see no abuse!

Arctic blast of 59 degrees this morning. Used this "Hand Forged", "Big Bowie" from leaf spring steel, to knock off the small limbs...while I was cutting a few pieces of mesquite wood, for the smoker. The knife isn't real pretty, but the guy who made it, chopped a 2x4 in to 4 pieces; then, shaved the hair off his arm. It holds an edge well. I've had it several years and keep it on my 4x4, down at the ranch. Maybe a little closer to a machete...than a knife.

Responsibly removing the label off of my plastic bottle, prior to recycling ...just because I can.

Nice chopper Doc B and sometimes it is fun to do things just because we can.

Doc.. That chopper is SCHWEEETTT!!!

My wife makes fun of me for doing stuff like that. It is so satisfying taking a sharp knife to paper and seeing how many curves you can make w/ the blade or how close each cut can come to the next cut w/out cutting the paper apart. Glad to see I’m not the only one who does things like this.
