2000 Solingen Bulldog Anniversary kinfe. 5 blades showing the varied engraving; perfect alignment of blades [couldn't get a good photo of this feature but each was perfectly centered]; tight runups; fine, well matched stag; excellent snap; even the liners appear polished. Not far from custom quality. Just all around highly pleasing craftsmanship.

Nice score, Garry. I love the stag handle. I would imagine that with five blades it's quite a hefty handful. What's the closed length of that beautiful trophy knife?

Q your surmise is correct, it is a hefty piece. I'm guessing it weighs about an ounce more than a similarly sized two blade trapper. Of course this knife is a show dog; it won't be seeing any pocket time. It is 4" in length.

If it were just a novelty it would be only mildly interesting. But that one is certainly not just novelty but quality the whole way. A show stopper in # of blades, in etches and in stag. A real winner there QS.

Thank you doglegg. I'm sure we all enjoy it when someone appreciates our knives whether new or old. While I am very pleased with all my BDs the 5 & 6 blade patterns are something special, at least to me. I have no doubt that BD put their best man or men on these creations.
