All About Pocket Knives

Howdy folks, I picked up a knife yesterday etched Hase Rostfrei. I bought it for a multitude of reasons. It's long, thin, stag, lockback, has a cool etch and has unusuall super sharp fine serrations. I'm assuming it's German as the words are. I was wondering if anyone knows anything anything about the knife since internet searches turn up little. I found a German company that sells files and some tools and I'm thinking their related to my knife but the mascot is different but is a rabbit. Thanks for any help. Pete

I can see why you like the knife. Quality looks to be very good. Hase is Hare in German. I would think the company with the files is one in the same. Could well be a contract knife made for the company given the lack of information.

Profile is similar to a Puma 941(?)but one bladed. Puma uses the partially serrated blade similar to this one on many of their knives;both fixed and folding.

That is a good looking knife. German knife makers seem to me to do a better job than most others on their stag. Sorry I have no info to offer on the maker, I just wanted to comment on your nice find.

Knife7, I think you found it. It must be a contract puma. If you compare this 941 with my knife, they're too similar. The blade style and location of the nail nick, the location of the front 3 rivets, the serrations and the humpback lock lever. The front bolster and rear 2 rivet positioning are different but I think that it. All 941's I saw were single blade too.

Do you all agree?

Looks like they are from the same family. I like them both and yes those Germans do have a way with stag.
