Hi guys and gals
Was hoping someone could give some insight into this company, snatched a knife on the bay , saw it at 3 minutes..no time too research, since pulling the trigger, I have found it is Italian, made in Maniago, has nothing to do with colt firearms(bummer), the most common knives I'm finding are cork handled floating fishing knives, and small gentleman's knifes, have seen two that claim to be dated to the 1950s..one a switch blade type.not finding anything on the company as far as when it started or if it's still in business, the one I won is..a swiss army type scout knife with a bovine full cover no bolsters..old style can opener.i thought it was maybe 40s or 50s because of bone but now I have no idea..any help thoughts or pictures appreciated
Thanks, WB

If "Colt" is marked on the knife then it was ordered by Colt firearms or who ever owns Colt. Colt has been having knives made for them for decades by a wide range of manufacturers: USA, British, Italy for sure, & Germany unsure. There are people who collect Colt branded knives.
Yes, handles are horn, probably cow.

Thanks KJ for the info , if you can check back in a few days I will post some pics of tang stamp, and better images once I have the knife in hand... in just doing image searches some just have CEM Maniago on tang and some have Colt.Cem Maniago.. very odd..anyway thank you for your insight, WB
