I'll be there on Saturday, weather permitting. Anybody else going?

January 26th-27th, 2019 is the annual Gateway Area Knife Club Knife show in
St. Louis, Missouri.

Show time: Saturday, Jan. 26th 9am - 5pm
Sunday, Jan. 27th 9am - 3pm

Location: Carpenters Hall -
1401 Hampton Avenue
Saint Louis, MO 63139
(Located on Hampton Ave
between I-44 & I-64)

Cost: $5.00 (price includes both days)

110 tables of factory, custom and antique knives.

Thanks doglegg! It's funny that you should mention pictures. I ALWAYS forget to take my camera along and I don't own a smart phone. I swear it wasn't but 10 minutes ago that I sent myself an email from work reminding me to take my camera this time. Then I read your post. Great minds think alike!

Okay, I'm back from the show. I met up with 3 friends that live in and near St. Louis and we had breakfast at Denny's before the show.

Got a few pics but nothing special. Just regular ole' knife show stuff. I'll add a few more pics momentarily in my next post.

Nice pictures Rick and looks like it is a great show thanks for posting my friend.

Here's what I brought home with me.

1978 Queen #10 Jack In Winterbottom Delrin. At breakfast I had told my friends that I was going to try to find a blue Victorinox knife at the show. While I was looking at the Queen #10 Scott came up behind me and handed me this Cub Scout Pocket Pal. Not the model I was looking for but there wasn't on of those at the show and Scott figured this was as close as I'll get. What a guy! Thank you, Scott! I would have bought this if I had enough funds. It looks okay in this pic but it was drop dead gorgeous in person.

Thanks Randy and you're welcome. It was Jeff (black mamba), Tom (Whetstone39), and Scott (pearl2291) that met me for breakfast and we all had a great day.

Rick, just regular ole knife show stuff was what I was hoping for. Thanks for sharing and some interesting stuff there. Sounds like your friends took care of you. Thanks. About the knife you didn't have the funds for, well next year check with me and I will check my pocket change.

Ha! Right on doglegg!

Those MP3 knives were nice. The maker (forgive me but I forget his name) has 3 people in his household with the initials of MP. He explained to me that it's not MP3 but MP to the 3rd power. Apparently the third person, his Niece I believe he said, is a real pistol and that's how he came up with that logo. Kind of neat and his knives are to die for.

I have been to this show for the last four years, but was unable to make it this year.
Was the gentlemen there with the table of mammoth ivory? Always enjoy his supply table.

MIke of MP3 knives is a nice guy from the local area, just over in Illinois I think. He always have some nice stuff.

Maybe I can make the next year and meet up with you fellas.

Tony, that would be great if you could meet up with us next year. I always enjoy the conversation and the company around the breakfast table. We just sit there and talk knives and chow down. I enjoy it every bit as much as the show itself and I would love to have you there too. I'll try to remember to contact you in early January but if I forget, please contact me if you think you can make it.

I was a little disappointed that the selection of handle slabs was very minimal.I only saw one guy with a table and he had very little. It looked like it was all wood. I didn't see any Mammoth at all I don't think the guy you mentioned was there this time. At least he wasn't there today anyway.
