Howell & James Co Regent Street Knives

I bought these 8 knives today at a local antique store. Just googled the company and they have an interesting history. Tag said mid 19th century bone knives. Not something I normally collect but the price was right. Really enjoy researching items and thought I would show my friends here my new acquisitions. Thanks for looking.

Appears to be ivory,not bone.

I agree with Roger - looks like ivory to me as well!! Given the ivory laws any tag in a shop would note bone

... Nice score Bill on a nice looking set
