I like the looks of that one. And ain't it great someone would think enough of you to give you a knife?

Yes, gift knives are very nice to get. They are the ones you keep, no matter what.
And, nice knife!

Whereas China made knives are not collectible (to most of us here anyway), most of them work well and arrive with truly sharp edges.
I give China made knives (Rough Rider & SanRenMu) to people as a gift about once a week. For most of them it is the first time in their life that they experience cutting with a sharp edge. And they love it and therefore 'love' their new knife. Only a very few people would appreciate a vintage knife.
I hope you give this gift knife a chance to ride with you and get used a little. It might be better than you think, or not. If you do this please let us know how it went.

No matter where it is made, a pocket knife is the best gift ever!

I agree with ya all. It is always great to receive a gift and especially ones that have good uses in your life, introducing the pocket knife. It looks to be a very nice knife. Great for edc. Sometimes you luck out with Asian goods. They must have high quality control.
