All About Pocket Knives

As a follow up to Tony Sal's post on little knives I thought I would go to the other end of the spectrum and feature some big knives.Most of these are too large to be a practical carry knife but rather made as a display piece or a,"just because I can" project.
Oddball knives have always been a favorite of mine and my accumulation encompasses both large and small knives as well as knives that don't look like knives and such. When I first saw the out-sized folding knives that were made in Pakistan I knew I had to have a couple of them. The real prize(to me anyway)was the 4 blade congress that is a full twelve inches long CLOSED!
The wooden Old Timer was another e-Bay find that really tripped my trigger. Then there was the huge navaja that appeared to be made of pot metal that a friend of mine gifted me many years ago. His father bought it in an antique shop somewhere in New England.
Another huge navaja(a real 19th century model)I found in an antique shop for $10. One of the best buys I ever made.
A 3 blade Chinese made knife found it's way home one day that has two locking blades and a saw.
I've probably posted some of these before but it's snowing out today(about 8 inches so far)and I don't have anything else to do so here they are in all their radiant beauty(?). Please feel free to add any you might own.

K7K - interesting topic for a thread.

Cool knives, fellows. I guess my favorite of the ones posted here is K7K's Coke Bottle with the cleaver blade. I cannot imagine actually using it as a cleaver without destroying the knife, but still very cool shape to that blade.

I do not have any really big folding knives. Her are three of my largest, A Jet Aer and a couple of Marbles.

Nice ones! In my humble opinion the Jet-Aer knives are very much under appreciated.I have several of their folders as well as a couple of unusual fixed blades that are top quality.

I like that big cleaver knife Knife7knut,I have a few with the hatchet in the same pattern.

It is an interesting(but totally impractical)knife for sure.The problem with it is I doubt it would take much of a pounding with the cleaver to break the pivot rivet and when the knife blade is open it is almost impossible to grip the handle due to the size of the cleaver blade.

My big boys are my Opinel no. 10 and ‘Ol Uncle Henry. They are the largest folders I have.

I think the one I have might have been a display knife as the blade has a highly polished finish rather than the more standard machine finish of the production knives.

That’s pretty cool. Definitely shinier than either of mine.

Nice assemblage! First time I've seen them with faux antler handles.And the Italian stiletto looks like it has a keris blade;is it a Kissing Krane?
