A thousand dollars worth of sharpening stones;an expensive tool kit;blisters on your hands from incessant hammering and a large amount of time wasted on a knife that probably either will not cut anything substantial or will dull immediately. ::shrug::

Pretty much what I thought. I could have bought dozens of decent kitchen knives at the fleamarket last weekend for a dollar or two each that would hold a better edge than an aluminum blade.

After seeing this, I think my Frost knives finally have something to compare against that is actually worse! What about titanium knives, you see those often marketed to backpackers, climbers, and other people who fret about weight, not realizing a small nylon handled lockback weighs nothing anyway.

This guy has a lot of videos making knives out of various materials, he is highly skilled and seems to do it because he can and probably enjoys it, making money on youtube on top of that is not a bad gig. I don't think the purpose of these various knives he makes are for them to be better than a steel knife, but rather for fun, so why all the negativity?
