Remington official scout knife

3.75 inches closed. Permanent shackle. Nickel silver unthreaded bolsters and First Class shield. Brass pins and liners. Master spear with crescent pull, crocus polished both sides, clear (but faint) etch: “official knife Boy Scouts of America” arranged around the first class icon. Tang stamp mark side REMINGTON/UMC in a circle, with MADE IN on right side of circle, and USA on left side of circle. Light sharpening marks and some pitting. May be slight blade loss at the very tip of the spear master. On same end of knife is long screwdriver/bottle opener. Crocus polished with some pitting. Slight damage at the tip. At other end of knife is punch and two piece canopener, both crocus polished with some pitting. Punch is tang stamped with a circle with REMINGTON inside it. All blades have excellent snap both opening and closing. Handles are flawless, tight to all adjoining surfaces and no cracks or chips, and are black or very dark brown jigged bone with no obvious pocket wear.
Joseph Kerr book puts this one at 1935-1939, black bone, 3 lines on bail, Remington # R3333, not RS3333 (although no numbers can be seen on this specimen). BSA # 1496. Long screwdriver without bump, parallel tab on canopener.
