I have inherited 3 Remington knives . A R-2 & R-8 in very good condition . New R-4 in plastic packaging from box. I was wondering about how to date these .

In a 2014 thread in the Camillus sub-forum titled
Remington Knives by Camillus on page 2 member Vit_213 wrote R4 Utility knives were made 1988-1993. Other than taking a guess that your relative probably bought all 3 not too many years apart I can only say Camillus made the R2 and R8 some time in the roughly 25 years they made Remingtons ending in 2007 when they went out of business.
If you want to sell the R4 I'm interested.
Happy New Year!

they were actually all bought together . I gave them to my dad for Christmas many years ago . I got them back this year when he passed away. I have the R-2 that I used to take bird hunting in iowa . I liked it because of the choke tube wrench . But I haven't been hunting for some years now . So mine just sets in my plastic ammo box with the rest of the knives I have. Thank you so much

R1-R5 were made 1988-1993, and R6-R11 1990-1993
