All About Pocket Knives

I've been looking at Case 6392's and 6394's to add to my collection (most all are well out of my collecting budget) and ran across a 1905-1920 case stock knife on the auction site. It got me thinking that I really haven't seen many stock knives/stockman that old or older.

Got me thinking that it would be nice to see some really old stockman, say pre 1920 at least and American made.

So share your pics please.

I have quite a few stockman, most are newer but I think these two may be pre 1920.

Most of those old stockman pattern knives led a hard life. These don't quite fit your request for pre-1920 but they're old and USA made - I'm gonna guess pre-1950's at least.

I wish I owned a Stockman that old to show. All my old knives are Jacks, Scouts, and Electricians. For a man who loves the Stockman pattern over all other, I should remedy this sad state of affairs! OH

Indeed!

A Challenge and a Boker that MIGHT be that old.

Although this knife was made by H. Boker in Germany, it is an old stockman. AAPK members dated it to 1891-1910.

Rotten, looks like you are getting folks to post some fabulous examples here in your thread. In addition, I would recommend you read through this thread in the link below if you have not done so already. Not every knife in that thread is a stockman, but I believe there are a few that would meet your criteria

here is the oldest stockman i have. 1905-1928 challenge cutlery co. bridgeport conn.
the scales are replacement sambar deer horn . the brass liners are hand filed .
it is a trusty EDC

Here is a four line Camillus that is stamped on two of three blades.

MT-Vessel, love that Boker.

Here's a Eagle Phila.

Here's a Hartford, Duluth, Minn.

Here's an old Western States Boulder.
