It looks like the knife tip and edge are blunt? Cool find

Yes, it’s pretty blunt. I don’t want to take it off the card, of course. I suppose it was marketed as a children’s knife, hence the round tip.
I just had a quick look and the other two I found pictured have the same tip.

That’s awesome! Did you know Robin Hood carries a Randall?

Maybe the blades are dull so he don't cut thru his tights??

Well, it does come from England where they take care of their citizens whether it's welcomed or not.

I like those colorful knives and cards even if they are cheaper made knives.
I don't see them often.

Umph! Well, that made my day! ‘Ol Errol is high on my list of favotite actors! As an old boyfriend used to say, “gimme two of those, ‘cause I’m gonna wreck one!”

I suppose Mr. Flynn is the classic Robin Hood but for me the best version of RH was the 50s version with Richard Todd. The photography in this version was a treat; very rich, superb lighting etc.

I really need to YouTube the Richard Todd. I’ve seen the silent Douglas Fairbanks.
Actually, one of my favorites is Robin and Marian, with Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn. It was made in 1976 , and the script was by the same fellow that did The Lion In Winter. Not for kids! It’s the older Robin, in his last few months, still scrapping with the Sherrif and serving King Richard. Interesting take on the story. I had the book version and it had an introduction about fifty pages long that dove into a lot of research about the legend. Sadly, I no longer have it.

Neat knife zoogirl! Is it made by Richards? I wouldn't remove it from the card either. One of the many things I love about collecting knives is they don't have to be super expensive;just appeal to you. some of the knives I find are not in the best of shape but there is that certain something that just,"trips my trigger".

Yep, a Richards. Which I find kind of funny, given the whole King Richard/Robin Hood thing!

Oh, I totally agree on the battered but beloved thing. Most of mine are just embarresing but one way or another, they yelled loud enough to make me pick ‘em up!

Nice Zoogirl, neat knife but made even nicer by having the card - I simply love the colorful advertising style from the 1950's and 1960's (probably because it evokes my boyhood memories of cool stuff I wanted to have!) OH
