All About Pocket Knives

I just landed this tank of a knife, made by HARTKOPF and Company (the one on the right - I already had the gold tone gentleman's knife).
I think this knife was made in the 1960s or later, maybe even after the DOVO years.
It's a good quality knife though. Should I be worried that I think the tang stamp is cool? It's two devils.
"Die Teufelskerle", or in English, "The Devil guys".
This company is not associated with the modern manufacturer Friedrich Hartkopf of Solingen, who also makes a nice quality knife.

That's a nice one!
I posted a pic of my first Hartkopf and Co. knives a couple of years back and I thought the same thing (2 devils), but someone replied that they were supposed to be two brothers that ran the company.
Every Hartkopf & Co. knife I pick up seems extremely well-built. I just don't see them too often.

btw: I haven't ordered a copy of your book yet, but I will soon. It looks like you've done a fantastic job!

That is a Hartkopf & Co. also. It's a lockback with stag handles.

Nice looking Hartkopf models, Ricky. Here is a camper model.

Anthony Carter lists 15 Solingen cutlery manufacturers named "Hartkopf".
"Hartkopf & Co." was founded in 1922 making it one of the more recent Hartkopf businesses. "The Devils" is their logo but it has never been registered.
If you have a Gebruder Hartkopf, or Fritz Hartkopf or Robert Hartkopf & Co., etc, these are not from the same manufacturer as Hartkopf & Co.
It can be rather confusing.
