All About Pocket Knives

I was looking into a plastic ammo box of stuff I have and haven't seen in a long time . I don't remember what year I bought it and I lost the box along with a lot of other boxes in the 2011 joplin tornado . Just wondered if anyone had any thought on theses. Thank you all very much.

I think these were made by Bear and Sons back in the 1990s. That's the earliest version, that opened up like a Leatherman. They stopped making the original Toolzalls like this because Leatherman sued for patent infringement. The later, more Bear Jaws based versions had the tools opening up from the outside. But, I can say I've never seen a first gen model with the strippers: ala Toolzall Electrician Pro. I don't think they've been made for years, after Apex chose to make all the Crescent stuff overseas.

thanks . there is a little information out there . I never used these . Until today I was installing a ceiling fan in spare bedroom and I cut 3 wires and stripped 3 wires they worked great

I like the idea but have always avoided leatherman type tools for electrical work due to the non insulated handles. I imagine there are a lot of like minded electricians out there.

Yea that's probably why I never used it . I retired from Tamko building products . I was a shift electrican . They are more of a gimmick I think but they are pretty nice . They do work. I cut and stripped 3 wires on a ceiling fan yesterday trying them out . Fan was on the floor actually. I just had found them looking for something else . Thanks
