All About Pocket Knives

Mail Call !!!!!! I've bought a lot this year as I always do. Everything from Shell Pullers to Customs to J.A. Henckels, etc.... I honestly think this is my knife of the year for me. Just something about this piece I love the shape. I'm guessing early 19th century. It has had blades put in it that aren't perfect, however for me that's part of what I like about it. It just gives it character. They do appear to be made from files by the marks on them. I am a fan of horn handles and the yellow on the front side scale "Love It". Corkscrew isn't broken like so many are and the double cigar cutter.

I did and thank you for correction So possibly late 19th to early 20th c.. You know it's funny I could type pretty good at one time but now it's like the mind is thinking one thing and they fingers are typing another.

That old knife has character! Someone went to a lot of effort to make replacement blades out of files. Unless you heat it to take the temper out, a file is the hardest metal I have ever tried to work. Very cool knife, as others have said.

Outkast you should be proud of that one. Character indeed. A very special knife. Happy for you.

I think it’s a very interesting old knife! I certainly see why you’d love it so much, I would too.

And I completely understand about the mind thinking one thing and the fingers typing another!
