Tang stamp ID

Gday all. Have a small blade I picked up for nothing. Its in pretty poor shape. Cracked scales. Very wobbly blades. I believe its a German make (Im new to this so correct me if Im wrong
) as it has Rostfrei stamped on the blade. On the small blade it has a makers symbol.
Can anyone tell me the make of knife please. And is it worth restoring? (Hope I didnt swear then?
)

Don't know about the tang stamp.
As far as restoring I don't think any efforts would pay off as far as increasing the value. It would not be a very expensive knife in better condition with the scales replaced. If you want to put new handles on it to restore as a user or just for the heck of it then go for it.

Im not really interested in making it into a priceless item. Unless of cause its the lost blade of King Whatchamacallhim
. I was more interested in finding its actual brand. And whether it would be worth fixing and keeping as maybe say my first complete knife restoration.

How about a link where I might find out. And would I be right saying its a German blade with Rostfrei on it?

Rostfrei is German (translates literally to "rust free") and many, but not all German-made knives have it. But so do some other European knives. The corkscrew is also common on European knives.

The lion's head on the h is a trademark of C. JULIUS HERBERTZ. circa 1954 - 1998. (not sure about the dates)

Yep, sometimes it's like that when no one has a clue and the one person who may know (in this case Rangerbluedog) hasn't seen the thread.
There are times when no one on the forum knows the answer.
