Need help on this Case Adv Knife

Postby Paladin » Thu Dec 06, 2018 11:25 pm

Guys,
In a recent purchase I got this Case 059L and it has no dots or 'x's on the tang to enable me to determine the date of manufacture. I believe the Case Logo dates it to sometime in the 2010 era but with no dots I can't tell when. I checked here and in Steve's book but there is no mention of the 059L pattern.
Any insight on this would be appreciated.

Ray

Interesting knife shape Ray! Most of the ad knives I see are the one's marked Zippo and are quite different in shape. Must be a more recent variation.

It is 2010 or later. For that pattern, since it is inexpensive and is produced in large quantities, Case does not bother to change the stamp year to year.
