Hawkbill with character

I can't help but show off this great old hawkbill that I recently picked up on Ebay.
It was advertised as a Schrade Cut Co and has such a poor appearance that it drew no competitive bids. When it arrived, I put a very fine piece of emory cloth on the tang stamp as it was not clear, but did not look right to me.
The knife turned out to be manufactured by Southington Cut Co between 1867 and 1905. What a deal! What an honorable old knife! :D I am not a big fan of the hawbill pattern but this is a knife of great character ::tu:: and I feel fortunate to have it. ::tu::
