Tommy I'm not sure how anyone could have kept a dry eye during that one. ::nod::

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see it. Like his politics or not, from all I’ve read about him he was a fine Christian man, faithful to his wife, and an American hero.

We sure could use more like him.

Very moving with just the right amount of comedic relief - I thought that 43 held it together perfectly and the music/singers were over the top. I will not soon forget today's events.

I thought it was wonderful. I don't recall the events around Reagan's services, and I'm not old enough to remember the last one of these before that. It was humbling to see all the past presidents, so many important people. Very tastefully done.

Haven't actually had a State Funeral like that since Gerald Ford passed away.

I found it very moving.

And yes, I shed a tear with George W. I tend to be very empathetic in such situations.

Yesterday, on the homeward flight of SAM 41, the play flew a little out of the way and did a low fly by over the GHW Bush Presidential Library in College Station, wher he will be interred.

After this morning's service in Houston, his remains will be transferred to a special train pulled by locomotive engine painted in the Air Force 1 paint scheme with the ID of 4141. There're rumors rolling around College Station that the engine will be retired and left in College Station near the library.

Apparently, 41 liked A&M so much, he had an apartment built inside the library to stay in when he came up from Houston for football and baseball games.

There are all kinds of 41 stories coming out about casual encounters with him on campus.

There is also going to be an unprecedented 21 aircraft missing man flyover by Navy planes during the actual internment ceremony. The 2000+ TAMU Corps of Cadets will be lining the driveway from the road to the Library.

One thing that so impresses me is the honor that the military shows our former commander in chief. Honor and respect are so missing today, it’s heart warming to see this.
I haven’t seen anything like this since Ronald Reagan’s funeral.
My wife has been glued to the screen on all this. Her father fought in the Pacific in WW 2. He died a couple of years ago. So she is feeling a strong connection w/ his service and sacrifice. It’s all very touching.
