All About Pocket Knives

Levine's mentions two Thornton Knife companies, One a Camillus company that I knew about (1920s) and then a brand name used by Federal Knife company that seems to have been only active 1945 to 1950. And then was sold to Colonial.

My main collecting focus is 5" texas toothpicks, but even at only 4 1/4", this one joins some other smaller ones in my stash. Who could possibly pass this up? A different hottie under the clear cell on each side. Knife has been cleaned, but shows very little use. Typical 'Colonial' type inexpensive construction. Shows some evidence that the cell may be going to hell. May happen quickly, may take forever, but I'll enjoy the knife while I have it.

Just an old, inexpensive knife that some guy must have been happy to have at some point. I feel the same way about it.
