The subject of pin spinners comes up often in this forum. Just noticed these are now being sold in an AAPK store. Wonder if anyone has tried them yet? Also while on the subject has anyone found any others being sold besides Jantz?

I have a set of the spinners posted. For me they don’t work very well but others have used them and like them so it may just be my technique. I’ve pretty much given up on Pin spinners.

I love pin my spinners! I have a set that came from the Camillus factory and they are carbide.
I would love to find someone who can replicate them, but so far I have not found anyone.

One key to using spinners successfully is lubrication. I use a cutting oil, actually a cutting gel called Ultra Lube. Without Ultra Lube my success rate drops from 90% to 50% when spinning pinstock to premake 1/16" brass handle pins. I usually do a 3 foot length of pinstock at a time.
