Hi. I found this site by accident. Liked what I saw and read.
I joined on November 8, 2018 and am enjoying the heck out of it.
I do believe that I have come down with a severe "Case"
(no pun intended), of Pocket Knifeitis. I have obtained 14
knives since joining with more on the way. I curse you.

New Windsor, I believe we've already spoken in another thread but I'll take this opportunity to

you officially to AAPK! I must also warn you that your knifeitis will only worsen around here but it is very enjoyable. Get ready for a wild ride and lots of new knives.

to AAPK, New_Windsor, lots of great info here. FYI- your obsession will get worse. I have a knife closet plus displays and 3 wooden tool boxes/buffets/cabinets full of knives. Just make sure you do your homework before buying "antique" knives. It will save you from heartburn, check out our Counterfeit thread.

So far (knock on wood), the knives that I have purchased that I did have questions about
have all turned out to be good buys for me per the resident experts. A Boker USA, a
Camillus 72 with no tang stamp and some other examples that are spread out over the
different forums. I am looking forward to learning more about the fantastic world of
knives (and other sharp objects). Thank you ALL for the warm welcome(s).

Welcome to AAPK. As you've no doubt learned already we're serious about our knives here, but we like to have a little fun too. I'm continually amazed by the collective knowledge of the members here.

To AAPK. You're doing good, 14 knives in 10 days, that ought to be about 511 knives by next November.

I am a bit confused your handle is New Windsor NY however your location seems to be in California. If this is correct then you are a bit further away than New Windsor is from me. New Windsor is under 10 miles California is 3000. Either way hello best of luck with your new affiliction. If you persue it you may find that while it will not be fatal it can break you( financially )( if you let it ) The good part is that unlike alcohol or similar habits . These artifacts are pieces of history and will still be tangible tomorrow ( unlike a hangover. ) Good luck and I suggest learn all you can because there is always more to know and no matter how much you learn there is always someone who will know more the object ( I have found ) is to learn from them. Regards LT
