All About Pocket Knives

I acqured a couple unserialized GEC knives. My question is how rare are they? I have seen a couple around.



I do know on these there were 10 made, but I am wondering in general.

Thats a good question okbohn, perhaps GECTECHMAN will stop in with the answer. Years from now Iam sure the darker element side of this hobby will be grinding bolsters or swapping them out to turn serialized knives into unserialized ones My 02 thats all. Mike

I hear once they get beyond 350 or 250, whatever the build is supposed to be, they will not have a serial number and 1 blade will not have the dark etch. I have a GEC Sheffield Tobacco, a GEC Rogers Green Tea, a Northfield Burnt Stag, a Tidioute Bocote Wood, all 73 patterns and a Tidioute Chocolate Bone 23 pattern.

All 5 of these unseialized knives are from 2006, and I think will be more rare than the 2007 knives. I doubt there are many 2006 unserialized knives out there. I was darn lucky to get these.

These are overruns. When a run of 250 ends up with 260 1st quality pieces then the 10 are sold unserialized. The production totals should reflect this. Seconds are not being sold to the general public but we have given away quite a few to people helping us out as well as employees purchasing them They will have the main etch but not the run etch (1 of 250) on the blades. They will also have a "2" scribed into the tang.

Great buy there Derrick, who knows? I know I have'nt seen many at all without the numbers. Guess it depends on how many in an overrun.
