Graef & Schmidt pearl whittler

In Goins book it list Graef & Schmidt Germany c. 1888- 1943. Anyone know anything else about this maker or the knife. Thanks in advance, Ed

Woodwalker get a chance check out the little imperial push button knife and man you have to see the Robert Klass Kissing Crane Monolith. The little imperial I will probably trade so if you like it let me know. Thanks for commenting on this whittler I really like it. It snaps hard and I like the pattern.

Just seen your little imperial and your Kissing Crane! Both outstanding pick ups! :) You been a busy feller. Don't have a little imperial like that. Might figure something out with ya. Got a few things to do tonight but I will holler at ya! :)

Levine lists Graeff & Schmidt as a USA manufacturer 1940-52 AND as an importer of Henckels knives 1883-c1948. OP knife is a Henckels pattern.

Every G & S knife i have seen has been a Henckels made knife. I have never seen one that was made in USA and i wonder if the info from Levine about G & S manufacturing in USA is correct.
