All About Pocket Knives

This is the first Muskrat I've owned. I've never paid much attention to the pattern before - but this one was a chestnut CV and I liked it

I have a few questions that I thought you Muskrat fans might be able to answer - and of course posting pictures of your favorites is encouraged!

Is it normal for one blade to sit a little lower than the other when folded? Also, the second blade seems a little thinner and smaller than the main blade - is this normal as well, or are these just finishing imperfections?

I like the knife - no complaints here - just wondering what is normal for this pattern.

I think chestnut bone is my favorite kind of handle right now

And worth what you paid for it, I might add.

On the mark side of your knife, the nail nick approaches the downward shape of the serpentine frame. On the pile side, the nick approaches an upward sweep, making it APPEAR to sit lower. The kicks look to be about the same in height. Again, JMO.

I really like a good Muskrat.
Here is one I picked up for a few dollars. It is such a solid knife that you wouldn’t know it is a shell handle by the feel of it. It has very good carbon steel blades.

Cheap enough that you won’t loose any value by using it, but good enough that it makes a good user………………………..My favorite kind!

Nice rats, guys This pattern is really starting to grow on me.... guess that means another style to start collecting!

I don't know how anyone is able to collect just one kind of pattern!

Here's my addition to the muskrat parade. A Queen Classic 27 in red stag. I love the slim profile and how the blades are sunk so low in the handle.

well, i guess ill join the parade too.
