I have recently been interested in Repair and Restoration blog. I have noticed that of the 50 pages of information ,when a question is asked about a particular procedure, be it handle repair, how do I clean a knife, where can I buy pins for my knife, etc, there are several answers that come back that may apply to the question, but differ procedures. My question ,is there a way to go through the already posted replys in the blog and consolidate them and make a list(pdf) in their individual category ,that way you could look at all of the reply’s and compare and decide which is best for your particular need. There may be a way already in place to that answers this question. If so point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The "Search" function does basically what you've requested. You can do a keyword search on any specific forum or on the entire site. You do however have to sift through some non-pertinent material that is found by the search, so that is one drawback. However I find that it's usually pretty quick to skim through and disregard those posts.
Since AAPK has no paid staff to undertake such tasks, someone would need to volunteer to do what you've requested. Then you have to decide where to put it so it's easily found, else folks are back to using the "search" to access it. One of the dilemma of a site like this is there's so much information here but unless you know where to find it, it's worthless. Which is why we get those repetitive questions so often - people don't know where or how to find what they want to know, or they're too lazy to look.

So they just ask again (I'm guilty. I confess!)
A good example is this post I made about knife cleaning, one of the items in your post.

I asked basically the same question you've asked, but about consolidating info on knife cleaning. It was suggested I put together a consolidation of posts on the topic and post it in the AAPK "Tips and Tricks" forum. So I did. I have no way of knowing if anyone found it useful. I can say however that it didn't seem to make any difference in the number of people who posted questions about knife cleaning. Eventually someone doing "housekeeping" decided the post was more appropriate under "Knife Repair and Restoration". So they moved it. It's now 7 pages deep in that forum, where it's unlikely to be easily found.

I've recently started playing around with repairs, pulling apart and putting knives back together. There are several tutorials that are especially helpful, in the repair section. I kind of started with those...then searched for more info, when I needed it. I don't know if you know where the search function is...it took me a while to find it...it's in the "Quick Links" on the left side of the page. I've found that to be helpful. If I want to read up on peening...the search function has helped me bring all that info together.
