I have no idea. Don't even know if it's legit. It's been personalized on the shield which to me, diminishes it's collector value, but it also seems that a bunch of other people don't seem to care. It say there's 96 people watching it too. Very interesting. Where's Steve?

Made by C Platts for WR Case prior to 1905.Not that rare.I have owned several over the years. It is bringing somewhat more than I thought it would. It is in pretty good shape, but I rather not have the the initials.I know of one that brought $9500.It was the best I had ever seen whether stamped C Platts or W R Case and Sons.

I bet a good chunk of the 100 or so watching are like me; just curious as to what the thing sells for and with no real interest in spending that much on this knife.

Roger, really nice group of knives! ::tu:: ::tu:: The stag handled example has beautiful old stag. Are the Platts examples the ones with the round shields with lettering?
