All About Pocket Knives

I've been a casual pocket knife collector for only a few years, esp. Remington and some vintage Schrade. I am looking at Ebay and it seems as though there are more examples of these than in the past. Any thoughts? PATS BY 14 ON SUNDAY!

Are you talking about modern or vintage Remingtons? I have noticed that alot of modern Remingtons are showing up on Ebay. Made in China.

A lot of the Schrades on ebay now are also made in China, under license from Taylor Cutlery, LLC.

If you look at the boxes you can tell the difference in the color scheme, though the graphics are similar.

Thanx for the reply! I mean the older knives. Orig. Rems. pre 1940 and the vintage schrades. I have a few that I really like and think (?) that I can tell the diff., but looking at the Counterfit Section some can be really tough.

I know, you did say vintage Schrade, but the thought of Chinese Schrades is just sickening. It's kinda like the selling out of another American icon. They will be Chinese knives, but I can't in good faith think of these Chinese knives as Schrades.
