Miller Bros Cut. Co. Meriden on eBay

Post by 1967redrider »

I didn't want to post this in the Counterfeit thread because it might be a legitimate Miller Bros knife, however, I do not think it is a, "Nice old knife . . ." as described.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Pocket ... 0010.m2109

What are your thoughts? Not my knife and I do not purchase or sell on eBay.

I feel badly for anyone bidding on either of these knives. But, always do your homework first! ::nod::

Easy to tell that they are fakes, but they are nicely made knives. What are they?

This one is no doubt an easy fake to pick up out of a lineup  ... I just can't believe the price either  - I am thinking something is not right out there in bidding land - there are either folks with lots of money with little knowledge or some shill bidding or one of each :) Note there are 2 bidders going at it after it reached $150 ::shrug:: ... can we all chip in - buy it and destroy it with a hammer :D ....

For comparison, look how the "O"s have flat sides on these tang stamps and the "I" in "MERIDEN" is fully extended. Sometimes you need to get out the magnifying glass, but the OP knife has many glaring flaws aside from the tang stamps. Pure garbage. ::barf::

They seems to be a consortium who shill bid and traffic underhandedly in all aspects of pocket knives from south of Lexington to Sevierville.

The thought of all the fake knives in circulation or in peoples' collections is mind blowing. Some could have been legitimate repairs but I think most were to make a quick buck. ::cuss::
