This knife is almost identical to the Ichiro Hattori mfg. Sharp 1000s knife sold by k-mart in the late 70's but I cannot find out who this importer was. Logo: handmade with a star m inside it.
Ichiro Hattori site where he displays this knife; http://hattoricollector.com/2015/10/01/ ... nd-valor/.

I don't know but back when the Hattori's were reasonable, I had an itch for one but never scratched it. I thought they were a cheap, second rate knife. Sure wish I had picked up one of those sub-hilt models. Can't afford 'em now.
Forged on the anvil of discipline.

I have found even the less expensive ones that were made by Hattori can really cut well and are extremely sharp.

thanks but Sharp brand knives imported the 1000s for sale to k-mart. This knife was imported by someone else. K-mart is a retailer, not an importer.
