All About Pocket Knives

A number of months ago I posted a thread that I was "taking the plunge" and was going to start writing about my passion for pocket knives. Well, I am very proud to report that my first article is on the cover of Knife World Mag for Jan 06. I wanted to first thank you people for your encouragement and support to do this. I am writing several others and I am even considering the possiblity of an informational book sometime in the near future. Let me know what you think of it. I am sure you will all be honest with your comments. I own all the knives shown but one of the Baldwin Knives. What a wonderful New Years present, Imagine my surprise when I opened my mail and saw my article on the front page. "their is a knife God afterall" Thanks friends, this has made my day.

Excellent article pa knives!
The statement "You have a better chance of finding one in Tennesse than in Tidioute!" is so true. It seems that for all the cutlery history that Pennsylania has, other than Case and Queen, most of it is largely forgotten or ignored. Thanks for sharing some history with us.
There was one bad effect of your article though. That was it made me want to jump in the truck and go out looking to find those long lost treasures of Pennsylvania cutlery.
I hope to read more articles from you.

This is one of the reasons I like this place and another good reason to keep a long thumb nail!

Got a chance to read it this morning. Believe it or not I think it came New Year's Eve!

I was glad to see you included a nice history lesson and included some nice pics. I really like that Bone Sleeveboard I would have liked to see the Glitter one in color and they all were very clear.
I also learned that some of A.C. Penn's knives were made there, something I never knew.

Nice work, you have a right to be proud. Keep up the good work, I for one hope/want to learn more.
I will be sure to keep my eyes open here in Tennessee.

BTW, Any way I can get my copy signed? I promise to keep it safe for at least my lifetime.

I am excited about pa and his accomplishments and want to congratulate him on his recognition as a published author. I don't know of a nicer personality than pa on these very topics. This site does have several personalities just like pa and that makes for a very fantastic group to be around. This is a nice feather in pa's cap and Bryan you and this site as well. Thank you all for your support. I have been informed by Knife World Magazine that they will be using my next article entitled "Mint Verses Everything Else" in a future edition. Our host Bryan is been wonderful to work with and I encourage each and every one of you to let your knife friends and new acquaintances know about this site. It has grown so much in a short time but has a lot more to go. Tell them all, buy a hat and watch the people approach you. I did and it was amazing the amount of people who ask me about it. Lastly, the greatest thing you can do for someone like me is to write an email to the editior and comment on an article. It really helps. Remember if you have something related to Pennsylvania Cutlery I would love to hear about it. But also remember that there are many knowledgable people on this site and just waiting to share thier thoughts on many topics. Keep up the good work, all of you. Don't think that your thoughts don't count. I don't care how long you have been in this hobby, You can learn from someone else and they can learn from you.
