Just got in a Bulldog Red Bone Sowbelly Whittler from 1995. This is one of those USA made Bulldogs. Nice knife and the blades are sharp. However, it doesn't quite have the quality of the German knives. For one thing there is blade rub on one of the blades. Also I do not hear the very pleasing, precise, "snick" when I close the blades; meaning there is a decent snap but just not as loud and authoritative as other Bulldogs.I may be picking nits. ::hmm:

gs, glad you like it. I understand that some of the last Bulldogs made before the move to China were by GEC. But since this knife is a 1995, 3rd generation it preceeds GEC by over a decade. I think GEC got up and running around 2006. (?) I agree with peanut. I believe they were made by Queen just based on the fact that Queen is the name that always comes up when talking about the unexpected U.S. made Bulldogs.
