Benchmade Info needed

Post by srm65 »

I have a Benchmade Limited Edition Infidel Automatic that I need some info on. I do not have a box or papers so I do not know the age, blade material, etc. If and when I decide to sell, I would like to know more about it. I know the new ones are very expensive. Any info appreciated.

I don't know that much about them so take this with a grain of salt. Doesn't look like a Benchmade to me and every Infidel I've ever seen has the activator button in a different location. Looks like somebody modified a Lightning OTF.

I think everything on dhgate is fake as far as knives go except for the Ganzos.

I'm no expert on the Infidel; but, I own about 30 Benchmade knives...and never saw philips head screws used. It doesn't look like it has any quality "hallmarks" of a real BM. :(

You can look at them at dhgate.com, they make copies that's hard to tell from the real deal unless you really know about the real ones. Handel looks like some of the china knives you can see at grindworks.com. For $50 you didn't get hurt to bad, you may be able to buy one without the engraving yours has on it. Don't feel to bad cause people get taken all the time for a whole lot more on fakes. Looks like the shyster that sold it to you has a conscious, the real knife will run in the $400 range give or take a little.
