All About Pocket Knives

Hi newbie here i got passed this knife form my grand dad I would like to no more about it I just no it's Italian thanks

Hello and welcome! You left out a picture of the most important part - the tang stamps. What does it say right above the word Italy? The handle looks like horn. Old Italian switchblades can be very hard to identify for exact maker & year - there were many small knife makers in a regional area, and the knife might only be marked with the name of the city where it came from. "INOX" means the blade is stainless steel. Nice knife!

I know enough about Italians to get myself in trouble, but the "inox" out on the blade will probably ring a bell somewhere. Not very common I don't think. Tom

I am trying to make the stamp that runs lengthwise on the blade but cant. What does it say?

I think that is the INOX stamp.

interesting that its marked INOX on the ricasso that large locktab and has that brownish horn more common on Frosolone made knives like Raimondo.... , regardless looks like a 1950s Maniago Italian made picklock stiletto.

The tab looks like a raimondo.
