6235 1/2 right?

I think this is a 6235 1/2 but Sargent's doesn't have one listed without a bolster. Am I correct on this? It's 3 3/8"

It's a nice knife - too bad it's been so heavily buffed. The blades are kind of "soft," shall we say

you're probably right, although the picture in sargent's has the blades the other way around (but that's a USA)

great looking old knife. it looks like a 6216 1/2 to me too. its pictured in volume 8 of the pocket traders price guide and has the main blade in front.

Looks like it may be a 31-1/2. Here's one that I have. At any rate thats one beautiful knife!

i think your 2231 1/2 is 3 3/4" long

You're right jonet 3-3/4, my bad. A&E, I'd kill for those handles, just a little nicer than slick black don't you think?

Hi;
Those old jacks were real work horses. They were used here on the coast to repair fishing net etc. Some of them they just used up. These two are a decade or so apart. Both blade configurations you spoke of.

And regardless of the handles, Bill, I REALLY like that old slick black Tested.
