Cook Bros.

This is a Cook Bros. Sheffield. 2 1/2" closed. Goins gives one date -- 1890....

I posted this knife in "Knife Finds of the Day" back in 2011. I thought it should be in "Knife Lore".

This is still a strong knife and well made. In spite of its size someone really liked using it.

Nice Joe, thanks for sharing, I guess it's kinda remarkable how some of the older knives survived all these years in as good condition as they are in, especially MOP handles.

Yes, this knife is apparently 128 years old and still going strong. Their longevity certainly speaks to their initial construction. ::nod::
I sharpened it to carry.

I have other Mother of Pearl knives that are quite well used but in solid condition. I think they require a little extra care.
