G. Butler Lambsfoot

This lambsfoot is HEAVY , the blades snap tight and it still has a good edge.

Thank you, there's no England stamp so I'm thinking pre 1891 ???

Strikes me that it is in exceptionally good condition for a knife of that time. Very nice.

Nice knife for sure

... and the real lambs foot stamped knives are not all that numerous ... actually there is England on the stamp on the blade tang in 3rd photo down (Sheffield/Art/England)... for the most part England does indicate post-1890 but supposedly knives not made for export may not have had England as a stamp... as an aside there is a thread on them under Knife Lore if you want to share this knife there as well ..
