hi all i am looking, for a small lot of vintage folders (about 6) .to repair,restore, modifie.

i am not worried about the brands , or condition. more the shape. i like the serpentine/dogleg/ peanut shapes.

App. how much does it cost to send 6 knives to Australia? $14 for a single knife to the UK.

it goes by weight/ size. if under 1 pound, in a small box.
should be about $18 + $4 if you want tracking.
i sent, 6 watch's to washington dc usa. from australia last month . cost $22 with tracking

Tell us what the knife situation is like in Australia. Do you see any older American made knives at thrift stores, etc. ? Are there tons of China knives in dept. & hdwe. stores? Are there mail order co.'s in Australia that offer Case or other American made knives? Glad you found the knives you were looking for.

Richard you know that pictures are mandatory when you get them repaired.

here in australia. you can buy and sell knives.but it is illegal to carry one. big fine ,if you are caught with a knife on you, even a small pocket knife.
store knifes are all. chinese rubbish. you can some times pick up quality older knives. at flea markets . and yard sales.
before i found this site. i bought knives mainly off of ebay. there are dealers here you can buy off of. but you need a edged weapon licence.to purchase from them.
i will post some pictures of the attempts at restoreing.

This is the law where I live in Australia.
# In NSW, under the Summary of Offences Act 1988, Section 11C:

"A person must not, without reasonable excuse (proof of which lies on the person), have in his or her custody a knife in a public place or a school." #.
The only knife I cannot purchase out of a store,are prohibited or ones you need a special permit to buy.Most of these knives are illegal in some states of the USA.
As a farmer for many years I could carry a knife as it was a work tool.Just don't take it to a shopping center and cut up a apple.
