All About Pocket Knives

Hi fellow knifers.

I am hoping that someone here can give me some insight as to this interesting import.

I have a wood handled lockback stamped W. Shure Co. Austria. It has "crowned" stamped bolsters with a stag head and a sword and rifle crossed behind what looks to me a well or a bucket. Well used and sharpened but kind of neat.

Anything you can tell me about it is appreciated.

Sorry, I have no info on the knife but I think the item on the bolster (bucket/well) is whats known as a "possibles bag". Hunter and trappers carried the bags for their shot, powder, and other gear they'd take afield.

Now that you mention it, that could just be a possibles pouch.

Looks like it was a swing guard design. Guard appears to be missing.

Could be right. Have seen some that had curved bolsters.
