Picked up this nice Robeson 62656 3 3/4" jack this week, if I'm dating the tang stamps correctly I'm thinking 1920's to 1930's. Blades have most likely been cleaned.

Very nice. Good bone on that one.
The 056 was a handful of knife.
In all the years of collecting, I was never able to obtain a mint or near-mint example of that pattern made before WWII. I do have one, but it's not great and I did find a post war strawberry bone example. They don't even look like the same knife, really. The strawberry knife is significantly less beefy.

Extra cool. I'm not a Robeson kind of guy but I really like
that one. That's a super find. Well done Sir.

Very nice photos by the way.

A little over six years ago, back in July of 2019, I bought this pocket knife for $7.74 and shipping (pre-eBay collecting taxes). I do NOT purposely collect ROBESON, but for the price, I could NOT resist. It DEFINITELY got added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a ROBESON, two blades, 3 13/16" closed, three tang stamps, two springs, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp (VERY, VERY FAINT) says, "?????", it's UNREADABLE. But it "PROBABLY" says, "ROBESON (over) ShurEdge (over) CUTLERY" The main blade back tang stamp says, "62656", the pattern number. The secondary blade front tang stamp (VERY FAINT and what I can make out) says, "ROBESON (over) U.S.A. (over) CUTLERY" If it also says "CO" or "COMPANY", I do NOT see it. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. The secondary blade does have a CRISP half stop. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a WICKED closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. It has a lot of life left in it. This pocket knife did NOT need cleaning at all. I just wiped it off.
I took some pictures and here it is.
