I agree. Doesn't a doctor's knife usually have a spatula blade? This appears to have a broken clip master blade and a spey blade, more like a trapper pattern. ::shrug::

I was thinking the same thing Dale, until I noticed in the picture the frame doesn't look straight on both sides like other doctor's knives I'm familiar with. ::shrug:: The sides look tapered, with the blade end bolster smaller than the cap end. It does have a cap bolster though, but curved, not straight/flat like a pill crusher.

The whole combination looks strange to me. ::hmm:: The blades look awkward in that frame. The pile side blade appears longer than the mark side (master) blade - very odd.

Blades are not correct in this. IF it is a Catt what would it have? A long Spear and spatula?
Is it even a legit Catt frame?? I can’t find one with a frame like it.
Thanks guys

That is the correct frame, right down to the unique front bolster, for a 22749 doctor's knife, depicted on page 72 of the Ritchie and Stewart Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. catalogue reprint. Knife should have a pen blade on the mark side and a spear blade on the pile side.
