All About Pocket Knives

I'm beginning to get quite a supply of mostly elk and a few deer antlers. My question is....some of the elk has spectacular texture but it's dirty colored. I tried a wire brush on a throw away piece and found out really quick that that wasn't what I was wanting to accomplish. Does anyone have some magical formula that you run this stuff through or something you scrub it with that will bring out more of the natural color?

well, brown is the natural color of elk antler, not sure whta color yours is?

I have a massive shed in the shop that's mostly white, 90% somehow. I was in the local gunshop where I saw 3 racks, still fresh that all scored over 380 points.
One was exceptionally massive, the main beam about the diameter of my forearm. This bull had just finished sparring a large Bull and had snapped off the G1 point. These were all dark brown. The big fella's antler were far too big for a hidden tang, unless you used 2 hands . Big enough for 4 large scales. I'll be back there on Wednesday, maybe I can get a picture.

Since mine is white it is sun bleached and spent one winter on the ground, no cracks.

I'll have to check through some of my paperwork, seems I have something around here to answer that. But since we moved finding MANY things has been a PIA.
