Have gotten a couple of opinions that the larger knife is something called "waterfall " designated with a B. Never heard of it

Yes it does look like a waterfall celluloid, but maybe one that has lost some of it's magic. When you move the knife around, especially in daylight, you should see movement down in the celluloid like a shimmering. Some waterfall is like pearl with a lot of character. I don't know much about the numbering system. ___Dave

Just held it under a light and see what you mean. Kinda cool but not a real pretty knife. I guess it is over a hundred years old though. Thanks Dave

Sargent's America Premium guide to Knives and Razors 7th edition, page 29. Great reference book for older Case knives.

Sargent's 7th edition was the last one Jim Sargent did. It's hard to find, and pricey if you do. It came with a DVD version of the book attached inside the back cover, and you can find reproductions of that DVD for more a reasonable price. Failing that, the 6th edition is also pretty good, and easier to find.
