Joe ,thanks for posting your Union knife. I think that's the first I've seen from that old Connecticutt company. I've been trying to collect a few more old knives from New England states.

Grand ole knife there, Joe... I've really been impressed by the Connecticut knives you have posted here & their histories that you have shared... enough so that I'm seriously consider expanding the scope of my collection to include some.

Naugatuck is getting pretty close to my birthplace of Waterbury. My grandfather made his career working in a brass manufacturer along the Naugatuc River on the south side of Waterbury very near Naugatuck proper.

I posted the tuxedo in some thread a few years ago. Don't know where.
I kind of forgot I had it.

Very recently, this take apart, "hobo" eating utensils, pattern or style of pocket knife, arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my first example to be posted under this topic or thread. But, this particular pocket knife was NOT the reason for my buying the group or lot. However, as it turned out, it is most definitely a keeper. It will certainly be a welcomed addition to my general pocket knife accumulation. It is a UNION KNIFE Cᴏ̲, one blade, one tool (a fork), 4" closed, 6 3/8" overall length (blade open), 6 3/4" overall length (fork open), one tang stamp (on the fork), "hobo" pattern or style of pocket knife. The fork, back tang stamp says, "UNION (over) KNIFE Cᴏ̲ (over) NAUGATUCK" Both the knife and the fork sides separate and reassemble without effort. The knife blade (EXTRA SHARP!!!) has a crisp half stop, with a STRONG opening and closing snap. The fork also has a crisp half stop, along with a STRONG opening and closing snap. The knife appears to have suffered some blade loss over the years. But, overall, this "hobo" eating utensils kit is still in GOOD condition. It definitely needed a good cleaning. I can't wait to use it. I took some pictures and here it is.
