First project soon to be underway

Hi guys
My first restoration or rather upgrade project arrived at the house today
A WWII Navy Pilots Folding Survival Knife. This is the larger of the two issued. Sorry about the poor pictues these are off the auction page, I'll
be taking more as i get in to this.
The knife is in overall good shape with the usual light rust and pits you'd expect from a 60+ year old knife. The main blade hasnt been ground down or abused. Back springs are solid and the main blade locks tightly w/ only a little side play, takes a good grip to get it open. The saw blade has been broken off which is common. The liner lock is slightly out of whack and some what beat down.
I plan (hopefully) to modernize it a good bit.
I want to replace the liners with new stainless or titanium ones.
A new saw...similar to what you would find on a Leatherman or a Buck Crosslock. The oringinal one having been intended for sheet metal not wood.
New handles slabs(orange G-10), pivot pins and washers.
Iwant to keep the original blade and bolsters and should be able to keep the backsprings
I'm a fan of large folders and I'm hoping to be able to include this monster in my bushcraft kit.
Questions and comments are welcome and as I said above the project will be well documented.
thanks
