All About Pocket Knives

Starting this morning when I've tried to read new private messages in my inbox I am getting the following error:

"You are not authorised to read private messages that are on hold."

This has happened on 2 separate PMs so far sent by different individuals.

Am I missing something or is this just something that the senders individually need to fix/release? Or is it a glitch?

I'd say PM me any replies but I probably wouldn't be able to read them. Feel free to send me an email through the site, at least.

Don't know if this is your problem or not but that happened to me once. After some head scratching I discovered my PM inbox was full. I deleted some old ones and then I could read the new ones.

What Ken said is probably your problem. Deleting some PMs is a stop-gap measure because your PM folder will just fill up again. Once you delete the PMs you need to "release all Private Messages on hold" in order to see the ones that are on hold. A more permanent solution is to make this change to the settings for your PMs.

Yep, you gents nailed it and Bryan emailed me the same info as well. I didn't even bother looking at the inbox listing which would have told me what was going on. Compounding this error is the fact that I have run into a full PM inbox before. I guess it was long enough ago that when I spent a while cleaning out PMs I figured it wouldn't come up any more. Maybe that's my cue to stop making offers on knives for sale.
