Wards Knife Blade

Post by patch1 »

Just picked up this Wards Made in USA aluminum scaled 4 blade camp type knife.
I'm not sure what the small curved blades function is.
The finger notch makes me think it could be a small skinning blade.
Any thoughts?

I believe it is a can opener, but I've been wrong before.
Not sure how it's supposed to operate.

I've always wondered about that myself...

Now put a P38 in my hands...

I used to always carry one. Had occasion to open a few cans, but I found I used the flat tip as a screw driver many times.
Stopped carrying it after the umpteenth time of jamming the point under my finger nails as I was reaching for my keys (kept the P38 on my key ring).
Take care and God bless,

And just below that in the next post, I demonstrated the use of the common types of can openers found on pocket knives.
