Anyone familiar with this old pocket knife? I've found very little information on the company - appears to be in Germany since 1992 although it looks like these knives have been around since the 1860's. The knife looks great - no cracks - very little wear. Any idea of value? I'm not sure what to call it either. I'd say it has a stag handle. Any idea of age? Thanks!

This brand now has it's knives made in China even though "Germany" is marked somewhere on the knife. They stopped having knives made in Germany about 15 or more years ago.
Your knife is an older one made in Germany and i agree handles look like real stag not a plastic imitation. How old i do not know but made after WW II is likely.

Thanks. I thought this looked much older than 1992. Anyone know what the two pronged blade is called. I don't think I've seen this on a pocket knife before.

Looks like there might be just a little shrinkage of the stag. Or possibly that is simply the way it was hafted.

My experience with 'vintage' German knives is that the lower end brands have sloppy hafting of stag, usually proud of bolsters ++ and not cut square to bolster, and this became even more prevalent after WW II.

I listed this for auction yesterday on eBay with a $0.99 starting price. Great snap on all the blades and tools. Hoping you all can find a good home for it. It's under mmmorici as the username. Thanks and good luck!
